As a graduate of Michigan State University, Isaiah Hall is a multimedia journalist and digital content creator with experience in newsroom operations, including assignment desk management, sports production, and multi-platform storytelling. He is skilled in original reporting, on-camera interviews, script writing, video editing and content creation for TV, digital and social media.

Isaiah is currently working at WDIV Local 4 News / ClickOnDetroit, producing bylined digital stories, video features and social content while supporting newsroom operations as an assignment editor (logistics coordinator). He is known for his versatility, strong news judgment and community-centered storytelling, with a particular focus on sports and human-interest reporting.

Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act passes with majority vote in House of Representatives

The U.S House of Representatives passed the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act, legislation which would allow Unified Boxing Organizations to handle a boxer’s promotion, rankings, titles and matchmaking, similar to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Turkey giveaway by Ypsilanti church helps families in time of need

Berea City of Hope in Ypsilanti donated free turkeys and groceries to over 120 people in its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway.

The giveaway took place on Nov. 16 at Berea City of Hope on McCartney Avenue in Ypsilanti. Hundreds of people lined the parking lot in their cars to be served free turkeys and groceries.

The groceries included, frozen fish, chicken and other fresh food.

Volunteers consisted of church members, staff and anyone else wiling to help.

Birmingham Groves beats Warren De La Salle in regional finals thriller

The undefeated Birmingham Groves held off a Warren De La Salle comeback to win the Division 2 regional finals.

The game took place on Nov. 15 and the crowd was packed as it was anticipated as one of the most competitive matchups in the regional finals.

De La Salle opened the game with a long, methodical drive that ended in a 39-yard passing touchdown to wide receiver Dalton Drogosh.

Detroit-raised Benjamin Phillips turned his life around, beating drug addiction with the power of his fists and feet as a professional boxer and kickboxer.

38-year-old Phillips fighting out of Stars and Strikes MMA in Westland holds multiple championship titles in kickboxing and is undefeated as a pro boxer(2-0).

SuperBad Boxing Gym in Detroit is seeking help with the expansion of their building, which would accommodate the gym’s growing number of athletes.
